South-Central Region Small Conventional Steel Orchestra Preliminaries - Panyard Judging - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2026

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The second set of steel orchestras in the small conventional category, of the 2026 season of the Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama, features three nights of competitive performances in the preliminary phase. In total there are fifteen participants hailing from South/Central, scheduled to appear from Sunday December 7—Tuesday December 9.

Cadenza Steel Orchestra is first of three in the lineup on Sunday at the Public Car Park, Guayaguayare Road in Mayaro. Start time is 4:00 p.m. AST according to event organizer Pan Trinbago.

It is the turn of eight small steel orchestras the next night, Monday December 8, while the final four compete Tuesday December 9. All perform in respective panyards and/or communities.

Golden Hands and New East Side Dimension steel orchestras are joint defending champions in this category. They are each determined to remain on top for the 2026 Panorama season, and challengers representing the four regions—East, South/Central, Tobago and North—look to take the title too. First the steel orchestras have to make the cut for the Saturday December 20 semi-finals in Port-of-Spain. Then it is on to the finals on January 10, 2026.
