 Toronto,
Canada - Congratulations are again in order for Salah’s Steelpan Academy which
made history and won its
forth consecutive title at the
annual Pan Alive Competition held last night (July 30) at the Lamport Stadium in
Toronto, Ontario. The
Montreal-based steelpan music organization beat Golden Harps
International of Brampton by eight points. The record-setting
fourth consecutive Pan Alive title was the
second ‘top honor’ in 2010 for
Salah’s Steelpan Academy
which also captured the
Montreal 2010 Panorama title in July.
Afropan
Steelband and
Panatics tied for third place with a score of
280. The panorama competition is part of Toronto’s Caribana
Festival activities. A total of thirteen bands participated in this year’s event.
