Friday evening, June 24, to the

Savannah, in Port-of-Spain,
Trinidad, from 6:00 p.m. The event
will showcase past winners of
Pan in the 21st
Century and Pan Down Memory
Lane competitions in a musical
showdown.
Participating steel orchestras
include Brazil RX4, St. James Tripolians, Woodbrook Playboyz, San
Juan East Side Symphony, Fonclaire,

$60.00 payable at the door.
Desperadoes Steel Orchestra in
concert
Two
other “After Work Limes” are
scheduled on July 8 and 15 at the
same venue. Silver Stars,
Renegades, Desperadoes, Sforzata,
Katzenjammers, San Juan All Stars,
Uni Stars, New Age Trendsetters and
Hatters steel orchestras are listed
to make appearances. This affair
replaces the annual Pan in the
21st
Century and Pan Down Memory
Lane competitions.
Earlier this month Pan Trinbago
advised that the competitions
would not be held this year
because of a “fall in sponsorship.”
Just a few days ago, the
organization announced that the
long-running event favorites
had been cancelled. The last
competitions in the series were held
in 2010, and saw
Sforzata Steel
Orchestra triumphing in Pan in
the 21st
Century, while Pan Down
Memory Lane was won by
Marsicans.
