Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. -
NAPA (National Academy of the Performing Arts) in Port-of-Spain,
Trinidad, is the venue of competition for eight soloists and six ensembles—which made the cut in their respective categories—in the Grand Finals of the Trinidad & Tobago Steelband Music Festival
of
Pan is Beautiful XII come Friday 8 November 2013.
Having placed first in the preliminary stage of the solo
competition, panist extraordinaire Keisha Codrington will attempt to
take home the grand prize ahead of her fellow seven competitors,
including her brother Khari Codrington, who placed third.
Taking home the ‘gold’ is the task not only of Golden Hands Steel
Orchestra which topped the ensemble division previously, but also of
the five other equally determined qualifiers.
