Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Twelve South/Central Region steel orchestras will show off their musical chops, as they strive to make the semi-finals in the small conventional steel orchestra category of the 2020 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama.
On Sunday December 15, 2019, the first six: Music Makers Steel Symphony, Motown, Swavic, Panosonic Connection, Morne Diablo Philadelphians Funk-a-Delic and Starland - will perform in their respective panyards beginning at 4:00 in the afternoon before judges.
Their fellow competing orchestras: Longdenville Claytones, Old Tech, Kalomo Kings, Fusion Steel, Mt. Moriah Pan Movement, and Golden Hands have their turn the following day Monday December 16 from 6:00 p.m. in the same format.

In this ‘small steel orchestra’ category, bands are permitted to perform with between 40 to 60 players for a maximum of eight (8) minutes.

In all, fifty-four steel orchestras from the four regions—Northern, Eastern, South/Central and Tobago—are expected in these preliminaries to compete for the top 30 positions available and move on to the National Semi-finals on Saturday January 4, 2020 at Victoria Square, Park Street, Port of Spain.
