Brooklyn, New York, USA - Basement Recordings captured Metro Steel Orchestra on Thursday August 28 as they prepared in their Brooklyn, New York panyard before going to Panorama on Saturday August 30, 2025. Vanessa Headley-Brewster is the arranger, and the first woman arranging for the New York steelband music competition. The band’s tune of choice was Yung Bredda’s The Greatest Bend Over. This is the ‘Cool Down’ version.
The band consisted of veterans and youthful players. Under the leadership of Mrs. Headley-Brewster they displayed exceptional growth far beyond what was expected. A thoughtful blend of traditional and well-known calypso movements was simply outstanding.
