Brooklyn, New York, USA - D’Radoes Steel Orchestra performs a ‘Cool Down’ version of their 2025 New York Panorama tune of choice “Jamtown.” The performance was captured by Basement Recordings in their panyard on Thursday August 28 as they prepared for the Panorama competition on Saturday August 30, 2025.
This multi-tracked digital recording allows for a relaxed, clean and precise immersive high-tech recording of a steel orchestra. Arranger Terrance “BJ” Marcelle presents a versatile arrangement that takes advantage of the full range of D’Radoes’ family of steelpan instruments both harmonically and rhythmically. Voices of instruments typically used are tenors, double tenors, double seconds, triple seconds, double guitars, four-pans, quads and tenor-basses, six-basses and nine-basses. The percussion section is made up of iron, cowbell, big-drum, timbales, congas, bongos and two drum kits.
