Single Pan and Small Steel Orchestras - Semi-Finals Order of Appearance
Trinidad & Tobago Steelband Panorama 2013

Global - Tobago’s Hope Pan Groovers will start the National Panorama Semi Finals at the “Big Yard” come Saturday January 26. Show time is 12 noon.  The first of the thirty-three Single Pan Bands will perform Cecil Hume’s composition “Gold.” In the Small Conventional Steel Orchestra category, Supernovas will be first on stage. The band from Surrey Village, Lopinot, has also chosen “Gold” arranged by Amrit Samaroo.

A total of 53 steel bands will perform their tune of choice before two panels of adjudicators for places in the Grand Finals.  The draw for playing positions took place on Wednesday January 23 at CNMG (Caribbean New Media Group) on Maraval Road, Port-of-Spain.

Coincidentally, the most popular tune of choice is Cecil Hume’s “Gold” which is played six times in the year that Pan Trinbago marks the Golden Anniversary of Panorama.

Patrons at the Savannah will have a choice of three venues – Grand Stand, North Stand and North Greens. Tickets for the events are on sale at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, Atherly’s, Sutton Street, San Fernando and Electro Sounds, Dinsley, Tacarigua from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily, and on the day of the event.

Pan Trinbago celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Panorama. The competition is in tribute to the late Bertie Marshall ORTT, innovator, inventor, virtuoso, tuner, musical arranger and a fount of information on research and development of the national music instrument.
