Trinidad & Tobago 2014 Panorama 3-CD Compilation Available

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The long-awaited official Trinidad & Tobago Panorama 2014 CD compilation is completed and available. The three-disc set is the collection of the steelband finalists recaptured as they perform their Panorama selections. It features twenty-seven tracks including six bonus tracks.

On CD1 are Invaders, Fonclaire, La Brea Nightingales, Desperadoes, Tropical Angel Harps, Exodus, Silver Stars, Skiffle and Trinidad All Stars steel orchestras. Featured on CD2 are national champions Phase II Pan Groove, along with Renegades, Melodians, Dixieland, Steel Xplosion, Pan Elders, Valley Harps, Katzenjammers and Couva Joylanders steel orchestras.

CD3 contains Sound Specialists of Laventille, Arima Angel Harps and Buccooneers steel orchestras, as well as the bonus tracks. The latter comprise the first three-placed bands in the Small Conventional steel orchestra category i.e. Supernovas, Siparia Deltones and Crescendoes - along with joint Single Pan Band winners San Juan East Side Symphony and Pan Jammers, and runner-up T&T Fire Services.

“Panorama 2014 – Celebrating the Evolution of Pan” was recorded ‘live’ at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, and at Skinner Park in San Fernando by Yochi Watanabe and Katsmari “Kats” Imai. They were assisted by the UTT (University of Trinidad & Tobago) Academy for the Performing Arts Music Technology Class of 2012.

The 2014 Panorama DVD featuring the final night performances of the large and medium steel orchestras, is already on sale.  It became available the third week in March.

The limited first edition CD set is available at most of Trinidad & Tobago’s major music stores: Cleve’s One Stop Music Shop; Crosby’s Music Centre of Western Main Road, St. James; Kam’s Record Store, Long Circular Mall, and Sanch Electronics, King Street, St. Joseph.

The DVD of the Single Pan and Small Bands which is soon-to-be released, is recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by KMP Music Lab, San Fernando.
