Anthony Marvin Franklyn aka “Marvin
Phoenix”
(image provided by S. Superville)
Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, Anthony Marvin Franklyn aka “Marvin Phoenix” is an aspiring vocalist, and has been pursuing this since he was seven. With inspiration from classical singer Josh Groban, the late R&B star Whitney Houston, as well as Machel Montano, Franklyn was moved to join a choir at that age.
From 2008 through 2010, Franklyn spent some time in the U.K. where he did some modeling and also had the opportunity to do backing vocals for the winner of The X Factor UK. When he returned to Trinidad, in addition to normal employment he also had side engagements singing at weddings, dinners, and even for functions at his workplace.
In the summer of 2015, Franklyn met with Simeon Superville aka “S. Ville” who introduced him to his team (Danger Massive); he shared his passion for music and his dream to do Soca and fuse it with the style of music he sings, which is classical.
Franklyn released two songs in 2016 “Breakaway Gyal” and “De Conqueror” and for 2017 he is back again with a song written and composed by Simeon Superville - Party Fever.
Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Simeon Superville aka “S.Ville” has been a composer, producer, songwriter and arranger from 2009 to present. At this time he still holds the captaincy of a single pan band called Stardust Steel Orchestra which at times “can be strenuous” - but striving to do both has been a joy, being involved with audio and his country’s culture, the Steelband.
In 2013 Superville put forward Musical Giants as his melodic work for pan and in 2014 there were two - Roll It Back and Steelband’s Dark Horse. For the 2015 and 2016 Panorama seasons he came with Fully Loaded and Soca Ruption, respectively.
For 2017 Superville’s melodic contributions are ‘Look At Yourself,’ Non Stop and Party Fever, the track featured here.
