
Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Medium steel orchestras from the North, East and South/Central regions auditioned in their respective panyards over a three-day (February 20—22) period. They were vying for a spot in their category to perform in the ‘Musical Showdown in De Big Yard’ on Saturday February 26. They will appear with the large steel orchestras in the same event at the Queen’s Park Savannah (QPS).

Single pan bands and small conventional steel orchestras had their turn on February 19 in “Pan in De Sancoche” with Tobago Defence Force Steel Orchestra & World Wide Steel Orchestra and Trinidad coming out on top.
The ‘Musical Showdown in De Big Yard’ has a start time of 5:00 p.m. Tickets for the event are priced at TT $300.00. General Seating at the Grand Stand are available at the National Carnival Commission Head Office, Gray Street, and online via Ticketgiveaway.com.
The venue is a safe zone opened to fully-vaccinated patrons and artists only. National COVID-19 protocols apply.
