Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The two large steel orchestras from the nation’s Eastern region perform for the panel of judges in the preliminary round of their category, in the 2025 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. The panel will hear from both Supernovas Steel Orchestra and Exodus Steel Orchestra on Monday February 10 in their respective panyards.
Judging in the large band category kicked off one night earlier with seven north-based steel orchestras in the lineup. Event organizer Pan Trinbago expects a start time for the Eastern region judging of 8:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time).
There was a joint championship in 2024, between Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra and Renegades Steel Orchestra. Obviously both legacy music organizations would like a repeat win - just without the other as ‘company,’ while the other challengers to their throne from around the country have the same goal.

Steel orchestras from four regions—North, East, South/Central and Tobago—are competing in these preliminaries to move on to the National Semi-finals on Sunday February 16 at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
