Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - It is the last night of preliminary competition in the large conventional steel orchestra category for the 2025 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. The panel of judges travels to sister isle Tobago to visit the panyards of the final two bands, Buccooneers Steel Orchestra and Redemption Sound Setters on Wednesday February 12.
Steelband lovers will surely be ready long before the advertised 7:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time) start time. The following day, Thursday February 13, score sheets are expected to be opened, and the fourteen large bands moving on to Sunday’s semi-finals, unveiled. With fifteen competitors in this category, a tie could see all moving forward to the next round.
Each band has its eye on the trophy and prize purse up for grabs in the large steel orchestra final night competition on Saturday March 1. That includes the defending title holders, joint champions Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra and Renegades Steel Orchestra.
