TOBAGO REGION Preliminaries: Small & Medium Conventional Steel Orchestras - Order of Appearance - Trinidad & Tobago National Steelband Panorama 2014

Global - Tobago steel orchestras in the small and medium categories take their turn in front of the panel of judges on Friday February 7 as they each make a play for positions in the semi finals round of competition.  Six medium bands and seven small bands are scheduled to participate, with defending medium band Panorama champs Buccooneers Steel Orchestra first up in their category, performing David Rudder’s “Madness” arranged by Seion Gomez.  New East Side Dimension leads off six co-competitors in the small conventional steel orchestra category.

For a cost of TT $75.00, music lovers and steelband supporters can cheer on their favorites at Carnival City (next to the Dwight Yorke Stadium) in Bacolet, Tobago, where the event is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m.

Small steel orchestras which move on will appear in the February 15 semi finals, while their medium category counterparts will do the same the next day on February 16, both at the same venue - the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, TRINIDAD.
