Pan On D Avenue XII: A Gift to the Nation - Radicle Tube Live Stream

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Twelve of Trinidad’s steel orchestras will entertain steelband music lovers while proudly paying tribute to the culture and art form on Sunday August 30, 2026. The occasion is Pan On D Avenue XII: A Gift to the Nation where those twelve bands will play as they make their way along Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook in Port-of-Spain.

Start time for the event is advertised as 6:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time). Live streams of some performances are expected via, and courtesy - of Radicle Tube.

2026 UK National Panorama Results - They’re Back! Ebony Steelband Wins 25th Title with Ojay Richards at the Helm

London, England, U.K. -  ‘Good behavior’ was not a requirement, which was a good thing as the tune of choice was Cyah Behave, where only a very good musical arrangement for steelpan, and its performance at a high level - was mandatory. Newly-minted UK National Panorama champion arranger Ojay Richards brought the music, and 2026 UK National Panorama champion steel orchestra Ebony Steelband executed and brought to life Richards’ arrangement of international soca artist Voice’s popular track.

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands - The University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) is celebrating the achievements of the UCCI Pandemix Steelband following its participation in Pan Alive 2026 in Toronto, Canada, where students showcased Caymanian talent and culture as part of one of North America’s premier celebrations of steelpan music.

....Members of UCCI Pandemix joined Toronto’s Afropan Steelband, performing together as the Afropan Youth Steelband and delivering the opening performance of the Pan Alive competition. Performing alongside accomplished musicians, the students strengthened their musicianship, discipline, teamwork, and confidence while proudly showcasing the talent and cultural pride of the Cayman Islands beyond its shores.

New York, USA - It’s that time again, when one tune dominates for the annual New York Panorama competition. And in 2026 Cyah Behave by “Voice” is ruling the roost musically as tune of choice for this season.

At the Saturday September 5 competition in Brooklyn, five of nine steel orchestras will deliver their versions of the tune through their respective arrangers and on-stage performances.

New York, USA -  A hot and humid afternoon was the setting for the sounds of steel on Sunday August 9 in celebration of August as Steelband Month, and more specifically August 11 as World Steelpan Day. The performances in Times Square brought pan live to the world from Father Duffy Square as multiple acts lined up and gave the steelband music-loving crowd what they craved – hours of just that.

Pan fraternity bids farewell to musical giant Robbie Greenidge

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The sound of steelpan and memories of a life devoted to music filled the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain yesterday, as family, friends and members of Trinidad and Tobago’s steelpan fraternity gathered to bid farewell to internationally acclaimed panist, arranger and composer Robert “Robbie” Greenidge.

Greenidge died on June 8.

At his funeral, speakers paid tribute to a man whose career stretched from Success Village, Laventille, to some of the world’s most prestigious stages, repeatedly describing Greenidge as humble, generous, disciplined and deeply committed to pan.

....The funeral at the Savannah carried particular significance because it fulfilled Greenidge’s final wish to have his service there.

2026 Grenada Senior Panorama champions, New Dimension Steel Orchestra on stage

St. George’s, Grenada, W.I. - New Dimension Steel Orchestra clinched the 2026 national Senior Panorama title with its performance of Cordel Byam’s arrangement of ‘I Got Me’ by Sakinah. Band number eight on stage for the competition with final notes at midnight, New Dimension made a lasting impression, one good enough to chalk up its fifteenth title, and the fourth for Cordel.

St. George’s, Grenada, W.I. - It is indeed going to be a ‘Pantastic Saturday’ for steelband music lovers who will be on hand to take in ‘live,’ the country’s annual steelband Panorama which unfolds at the National Stadium on Saturday 6 August. The musical action is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Eight steel orchestras are vying for the title of Panorama champions. Defending its title is Commancheros Steel Orchestra which drew the first playing position this year.

Antigua & Barbuda, W.I. - The bands with their musicians showed up and showed out - the fruits of their weeks, even months, of musical labor in their respective panyards clearly visible, and certainly audible. At the end of the night, when results were announced shortly before 1:00 a.m. on August 2, Hells Gate Steel Orchestra had done it again - still champion, in the process racking up its twenty-fifth national Panorama title, and the seventh consecutive.

....Incidentally, the bands placing first, second and third, all played the same tune of choice - Bet by Ricardo Drue. And only those top three positions were shared, leaving steelband music lovers and supporters out of the loop for yet another year when the remaining five bands’ placings were not announced.

Pan Alive 2026 - Toronto Panorama Results: PanMasters Steel Orchestra Victorious with Arranger Rudo Forteau

PanMasters Steel Orchestra celebrates with championship trophy for Toronto Panorama Pan Alive 2026

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - It was an upset; musical pandemonium reigned at Pan Alive 2026 for the Toronto Panorama, as the last competitor - PanMasters Steel Orchestra - took the title away from the band that triumphed in 2025, Pan Fantasy Steelband. The latter was aiming for its twelfth consecutive title; instead PanMasters clinched the championship when they executed arranger Rudo Forteau’s music reenvisioning the late legendary calypsonian Shadow’s Feeling the Feeling.

....It is the first Panorama championship for PanMasters led by veteran panman Tommy Crichlow. The first-time collaboration between New Dimension Steel Orchestra and Tobagonian arranger Micheal Toby—resident arranger for Redemption Sound Setters—resulted in third place.
