The Anatomy of UK National Panorama 2026 - Quick Chart

Bands, Tunes, Arrangers

Flag of the UK

London, England, U.K. - The UK National Panorama showcase features five steel orchestras for 2026, one more than last year. Ebony Steelband returns to the competition after a one-year absence, determined—along with three other bands—to dethrone title defenders Mangrove Steelband. Saturday August 29 is the day lovers of the music art form are looking forward to as their favorites take the stage.

Also in the spotlight is the Junior Panorama, preceding the main Panorama. The junior representations of Croydon, Ebony and Endurance steel orchestras are expected to be just as exuberant as their senior peers.

Doors are scheduled to open at 4:00 p.m. local time (11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) and the event ends at 12:00 a.m. (7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time). The junior component should get going one hour later, while on stage by 8:00 p.m. is the expectation for the main leg of competition.

As part of Notting Hill Carnival, the UK National Panorama is the arena where steel orchestras and their musicians shine annually after many weeks and long nights of passionate practice. They and the crowds make their way to the venue of Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, Kensal Road, W10.

Following are the respective bands, with tunes of choice, arrangers, and more. All data sourced from PanPodium.
