Verse 1

Someone must be bless dem hands
And fill it with honey
Cause de way yuh play yuh Pan
With such ease and grace
But is you - who urge me on
With yuh cheers and praise
Now ah getting de vibes -
For you I must play
Cause yuh keep on telling me

Move dem sweet hand
Play yuh sweet Pan
Fill me with melodies from a musical soul
Move me on again to a higher place
Let dem notes really make me soar
Play yuh Pan, just gih me some more

Verse 2

Ah could make yuh float on high
Or bring yuh down slowly
Ah feeling to touch de sky
With dis melody
I could set the mood
With the touch of my sticks (Oh Yeah)
Now ah have yuh inside my musical mix
And yuh keep on telling me

Verse 3

Again and again yuh say
Ah cyar get yuh tied
Dis thing in mey blood whole day
Ah feeling inspired
I’m trapped inside ah musical den - my friend
And my musical passion it will never end
And yuh keep on telling me

Barry Smith: Meet Barry Smith, 30, Trinidad and Tobago’s latest Soca artiste with a penchant for dancehall and reggae music.  He has been writing and singing his music for the past seventeen years.

He started his musical career in his school days at Pleasantville Senior Secondary and has never looked back. Some of the influences for his music and compositions came from his participation in Best Village competitions, which provided him with the rhythms while playing the drums.  He was also participated in the 2007 season of Synergy Soca Stars.

Barry has teamed up with Dennis Smith, a well-known panist, to produce his first recordings for the 2013 Carnival season. The songs are All Night, a soca jam written by Barry, and the track featured here, Gih Me Some More, written by Dennis Smith.

In his short career as a singer/composer, Barry has written approximately twenty-five songs, with fifteen recorded to date.

There is no limit to this young man’s talent and with his love and dedication to his music; the sky will be the limit.
