Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Desperadoes, Pan Elders and La Horquetta Pan Groove each topped their respective categories after Sunday’s National Panorama Semi Finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Both Desperadoes and Pan Elders are defending champions in their respective categories.
After seventeen hours of sweet steelpan music, the results were announced.
Making the final cut are 15 Small, 10 Medium and 11 Large conventional steel orchestras.
The first of two Finals, the Small Conventional Bands, takes place on Thursday 23rd February Skinner Park in San Fernando, from 7:00 p.m. This event is staged in collaboration with Petrotrin. Admission is TT $100.00 and tickets are available locally at the advertised outlets i.e. WACK 90.1fm, Atherly’s on Sutton Street, South/Central Pan Trinbago Regional Office, Park Street, San Fernando and PANVESCO, Victoria Park Suites, Park Street, Port-of-Spain.
Both the Medium and Large steel orchestras will have their eight minutes of glory at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, on Saturday 25th February. Starting time is 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this event are on sale at the NLCB (National Lotteries Control Board) outlets nationwide.
