Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Defending champions in the medium category, Pan Elders Steel Orchestra, retain their lead position emerging from the semi-finals held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain. With this, the band is now squarely taking aim at its fourth consecutive championship.

Ten of the fourteen steel orchestras move on to the Saturday 25 February final-night competition. There were four “ties” in the scores along the way. For Western Stars Philharmonic, Arima Angel Harps, Sforzata and Pamberi steel orchestras, the musical journey and quest for glory regrettably came to an end - at least for the 2017 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. But it is hats off to the bands’ respective players who gave it their all.
