UK 2025 Panorama Results - Title #13 for Mangrove Steelband with arranger André

London, England, U.K. - It is title number thirteen for 2025 UK National Panorama champion Mangrove Steelband, led by its arranger André White. The sweetness of the band’s performance of his arrangement of Kes The Band’s Cocoa Tea merited first place honors as it maintained its championship status.

This Panorama had the fewest number of competitors in recent years - only four steel orchestras participated. But for the steelband music lovers who came out - it was the culmination of their Panorama season as the bands took the stage at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park. The legendary Dr. Ray Holman was one of this year’s judges.
Terrance “BJ” Marcelle arranged for the first time in the UK Panorama, working with Metronomes Steel Orchestra this year. Ebony Steelband did not participate in the competition. Last year, after being declared the winner - that victory was short-lived for Ebony when, a short time later, event organizers Notting Hill Carnival posted on social media that Mangrove Steel Orchestra instead was the champion.
This year’s musical showcase ended when fourth and final band Real Steel finished off the competition at 10:32 p.m. local time. Results were announced by 11:00 p.m.
