London, England, U.K. - There are only four bands taking part in this year’s UK National Panorama. Mangrove Steel Orchestra has only three challengers as the band defends its 2024 title on Saturday August 23.
The event is part of the annual Notting Hill Carnival celebrations, and is expected to get underway overall at 4:00 p.m. local time at the customary venue of Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, Kensal Road, W10. This year there is a Junior Panorama—UK National Junior Steelband Competition—preceding the main competition, and that is listed for a 5:00 p.m. start time, while the Panorama competition featuring the four steel orchestras follows at 8:00 p.m. local time.
