Global - Following the Single Pan Band competition, ten small steel orchestras take the stage in succession of which nine will attempt to unseat title-defenders Supernovas Steel Orchestra, who will be going for an unprecedented sixth, yes, second consecutive championship that evening. They will be playing Anslem Douglas' “Dr. Samaroo” arranged by Amrit Samaroo. The order of appearance for the small steel orchestras is below.
As in 2014, the top prize in 2015 for the small steel orchestras is TT $400,000 along with Pan Trinbago and bp Challenge Trophies, while the 1st and 2nd runners-up receiving TT $350,000 and TT $300,000 respectively. Fourth-, fifth- and sixth-placing bands take away TT $250,000, TT $200,000 and TT $150,000 in that order, while those in positions seven through ten will be awarded TT $100,000 each. The action starts at 6:00 p.m. at Skinner Park.
