Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The second leg of preliminary competition in the 2025 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama small conventional steel orchestra category, features bands from the Eastern region. Over the course of three nights—Monday January 6 through Wednesday January 8—steelband music lovers will have their fill of the sounds of steel.
No less than fourteen bands are expected to perform before the panel of judges as they wend their way from panyard to panyard on a nightly basis. The scheduled start time for the three nights is 7:00 p.m.
Up first on Monday are Jay Notes Steel Orchestra, Tamana Pioneers Steel Orchestra, La Horquetta [LH] Pan Groove, Simple Song Steel Orchestra and Nu Stars Steel Orchestra. Tuesday, five more follow: Augmented Groove Steel Orchestra, Arima Golden Symphony, Perfect Cadence Steel Orchestra, Bon Air Rhythm Rockers and Fascinators Pan Symphony. For the third night music lovers expect to hear from Flamingoes Steel Orchestra, Northolus, Sound Of Music and B-Minor steel orchestras.
New East Side Dimension Steel Orchestra of sister isle Tobago is the reigning champion in this small conventional category, and each preliminary challenger is keen on dethroning the band. First, they have to make it through to the January 18 semi-finals, and the final cut for the January 25 championship music battle.
