LYRICS |
Verse
1
Since the transition
from bamboo
To the birth of the steel pan
And no matter what some may do
Pan belong in a band
So from the time cock crow
To the final blow
As we move in the street
We can feel the beat, in we feet
So for those who don't agree
Best you check your history
I doh want no scandal
Pan is Carnival.
Chorus
For Carnival action,
steel pan is the plan
If you want jump in a band
It's the true authentic way,
if you
want to feel the sway
So this year is pan Carnival,
A true Trini bacchanal
So this year is pan Carnival,
A true Trini festival
So this year is pan jamming
Taking over
the Carnival
So this year is pan Carnival,
A true Trini bacchanal
For Carnival, pan take over
For Carnival, pan take over
This Carnival, pan take over
My Carnival, pan take over
Ping Pong Ping Pong Ping Pong Ping Pong
Ping Pong playing on the street
Feel the beat, in yuh feet
Pan the way to go for Carnival.
Verse
2
Some say that the
pan play too slow
And they want it uptempo
So we have to play with more zest
If we want to impress
So to keep with the flow
Is pan on the go
No need to push the pan
The entire band, on a stand
On a big truck we moving
Through the city we cruising
Jamming with Pan Royale
Pan is Carnival.
Chorus

Verse
3
Yes we live in a modern
time
In a digital era
But to replace pan is a crime
With a synthesizer
We all want the real real thing
To give we the swing
So deejay take a side
To say pan has died, you have lied
Stronger now more than ever
Pan will play on forever
Key to the bacchanal
Pan is Carnival.
Chorus
