Results - Medium Conventional Steel Orchestra Preliminaries - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2023

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Twenty-three steel orchestras in the medium band category took part in preliminaries for Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2023.  Competitors from the South/Central, Tobago, North and East regions were in the spotlight from January 24 through January 28 as they performed at respective panyards/venues in their communities.

As defending champion, the Couva Joylanders Steel Orchestra is out front going into the February 5 semi-finals being held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain. They are second only to a very determined Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra hailing from sister isle Tobago, which achieved the highest score. Pan Elders Steel Orchestra rounds out the top three at this point.

Event organizer Pan Trinbago opened up score sheets and said on its Facebook page that “the first 14 in order of merit qualified for the National Semi-Finals (Savannah Party).” Results revealed a three-way tie at position thirteen (13) which would indicate that fifteen medium bands are semi-finalists this year.
