PanoGrama 2021 Semi-final Results - Top 10 Go To Final

Global - And then there were ten.  There could be only ten of the twenty steelpan semi-finalists making it through to the May 22 final night of the 2021 PanoGrama.

On May 13 the musicians in the semi-final had their pre-recorded performances broadcast online via Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. The show was hosted once again by event organizer Nevin Roach with co-host Aundrea Wharton.

The decisions and resultant final scores of the five judges - Liam Teague, Ojay Richards, Andy Chichester, David ZigE Walcott and Victor Provost - were revealed soon after the performances concluded. As far as the judges are concerned, France′s Mathieu Borgne has been the best of the panists to this point, apparently having exemplified overall, the criteria laid out in the rules of the PanoGrama competition.  As of now, many would expect him to cop the top prize of USD $1,000.00.

Defending champion Earl Brooks, Jr placed fifth, and is naturally still determined to retain his crown.  The other eight contenders, some of the most skilled pan musicians in their own right, will undoubtedly have pulled out all musical stops to claim the top prize themselves.
