Finals Order of Appearance for Medium Steel Orchestras - Trinidad & Tobago Panorama 2017
Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Two steel orchestras from the Northern Region will kick things off in the medium category, when the Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama Finals gets underway on Saturday February 25, 2017 at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, from 7:00 p.m. Pan-Demonium and former champions Valley Harps (2011) appear in positions one and two. They are two of the three northern regional representatives that made it to the finals; the other, appearing fifth, is Sound Specialists of Laventille with first-time Panorama arranger Rudo Forteau.
Defending champ Pan Elders Steel Orchestra is going for its fourth consecutive title and perform in eighth position; the band is one of two hailing from the South/Central Region. The Eastern Region also has two chances at the title via Curepe Scherzando and Melodians steel orchestras.
The sister isle is ably represented by Steel Xplosion, Buccooneers, and Katzenjammers steel orchestras - all former champions in this category.
These ten Medium steel orchestras will join eleven large bands in their respective grand finals, Saturday 25 February (medium and large), respectively.
Tickets for the National Panorama Finals—North Stand (TT $200.00), Grand Stand (TT $300.00), and Grand Stand Reserved (TT $400.00)— are on sale locally at NLCB (National Lotteries Control Board) outlets throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
