Finals: Order of Appearance for MEDIUM Steel Orchestras - Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama 2024

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Besides being in the top spot going into the finals as the band with the highest score (276), Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra, as the title defender is also well positioned in the most literal sense. The band performs last in the line-up of ten steel orchestras on February 4, finals night for the Medium category of the 2024 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. Three of the bands will be performing on home island ground - Tobago, while seven from sister isle Trinidad would have travelled across the water to compete.

Nine challengers to the ‘throne’ will take the stage before Katzenjammers at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago. Sangre Grande Cordettes will perform first for judges at the event which has a scheduled start time of 7:00 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time).

The results of Sunday’s competition will be the culmination of months of preparation, followed by preliminary ‘panyard judging’ from January 15—19 in four regions: Tobago, North, East and South/Central. Those performances generated fourteen participants for the semi-finals at the January 28 ‘Savannah Party.’

Following, per event organizer Pan Trinbago, is the Order of Appearance for the MEDIUM steel orchestras on Final night competition. The draw for positions took place on January 30.
