South/Central Pan Champs 2024: Order of Appearance
Ken “Professor” Philmore South/Central Pan Champs
San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The event that showcases steelband in the southland aka ‘South/Central Pan Champs’ is back after a 19-year-hiatus. Re-introduced by the current administration of Pan Trinbago, it has been renamed in the honor of late national steelpan icon, the beloved Ken “Professor” Philmore.
And at Skinner Park in San Fernando on Thursday February 8, steelband music will sound in competition at the venue where Pan patrons will gather in anticipation for the expected start time of 7:00 p.m. Thirteen conventional steel orchestras and three single pan bands are in the contest to triumph in their respective grouping. The show is part of the overall 2024 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama season.
