Katzenjammers, New East Side Dimension & Metro Stars Steel Orchestras Repeat As Champions - All Led By Arranger Kersh Ramsey

Tobago, W.I. - A repeat of results - THA Pan Champs 2024 mirrored those of 2023, that is: arranger Kersh Ramsey kept his hold on all three categories at stake in the competition. Single pan, small and large steel orchestra glory - where Metro Stars, New East Side Dimension, and Katzenjammers, respectively - successfully defending titles - were all led musically by Ramsey.

Metro Stars’ prize purse was TT $55,000.00; that of New East Side Dimension - TT $80,000.00. Katzenjammers’ take home was TT $120,000.00.

The 2024 edition of THA (Tobago House of Assembly) Pan Champs aimed to showcase the best in Pan in Tobago on Tuesday February 6. Two single pan bands, seven small and five large conventional steel orchestras graced the same venue—the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet—where just two nights prior, a parade of ten steel orchestras had participated in the Medium finals category of the 2024 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. And Kersh Ramsey with Katzenjammers had also performed last in the line-up of competitors, and also triumphed. Pan lovers can be sure that these champions plan to be back again in 2025 in vigorous defense of their titles.
