Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Last year’s winner, Pan Elders Steel Orchestra, maintains its lead going into the finals with arranger Duvone Stewart, with a sixth consecutive championship looming as a distinct possibility. Final night come March 2 all will be decided.
By 1:18 p.m. local time, band number one, Curepe Scherzando Steel Orchestra had completed its presentation on stage at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain. Sound Specialists of Laventille closed out the medium category by 5:15 p.m. playing the Seion Gomez-arrangement of “The Phung-Uh-Nung Sweet.”
Following are the full results for the Semi Finals phase of competition for Medium conventional steel orchestras. The top ten move on to the finals.
