Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - From May 27 through June 4, thirty-three conventional steel orchestra from the Eastern, South/Central, Northern and Tobago regions performed in the preliminary leg of Pan in the 21st Century 2023 at respective venues in their communities. After several years, the competition makes a return via organizers Pan Trinbago.

The top twelve bands, with Couva Joylanders and Katzenjammers steel orchestras currently tied and in the lead - have moved on from the preliminaries to the June 11 finals. The venue for the event is the Queen's Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain, where the start time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. with sister competition Pan Down Memory Lane starting things off.

The draw for appearance order is expected to take place on June 7.
