Results - Medium Conventional Steel Orchestra Preliminaries - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2026

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - All roads, quite literally, lead to the Queen’s Park Savannah this coming Sunday, February 1. From their panyards, to the stage at the Savannah to take part in the semi-finals - this is true for all sixteen steel orchestras that competed in the preliminary rounds of the 2026 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama. Seven bands from the East, five from South/Central, and two each from Tobago and the North are all semi-finalists this year.

Last year, too, there were sixteen semi-finalists - but that was out of an initial field of twenty-one medium bands. This season, challenges experienced by some steelband music organizations led to non-appearances - a few even dropping out though already registered. Potential Symphony, Antillean All Stars, Power Stars and Pan-Demonium Steel Orchestra steel orchestras were listed to compete, but eventually did not. And there was one less medium band entrant from Tobago, with Katzenjammers Steel Orchestra having transitioned to the large category.

This year’s semi-finalists give the February 8 finals their best shot when they take the stage in the semi-finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port-of-Spain. The top three bands at this point are Sound Specialists of Laventille, Pan Elders, and Arima Angel Harps. The medium component precedes the semi-finalists in the large steel orchestra segment.

Following are the official results from event organizer Pan Trinbago, of the preliminary competition for Medium conventional steel orchestras.
