Results - Small Steel Orchestra Finals - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2026 - Southern Stars and Uptown Fascinators Steel Orchestras take Title - Another Joint Championship

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - Scintillating sounds of steel in Trinidad and Tobago’s South land? Check. Sixteen steel orchestras more than up to the task, and delivering the musical goods at Skinner Park in San Fernando? Check. Saturday January 10 was the date where the stage was set for final night competition in the Small steel orchestra category in the annual national Panorama arena.

Playing a Duvone Stewart-arrangement of Let Us Build A Nation Together - Southern Stars Steel Orchestra (D’ South Band) which was out front from the preliminary round, maintained its lead coning out of the semi-finals, and stayed on top for the finals - going on to share first place with Uptown Fascinators Steel Orchestra. Together with its arranger, Ojay Richards, Uptown Fascinators—performing Band From Space—were also champions back in 2023 and 2020.

The 2025 competition also resulted in a tie, where both Golden Hands and New East Side Dimension were champions in this category. This time around Golden Hands placed third, while New East Side Dimension tied for fifth place with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Steel Orchestra. On the topic of ‘ties’ in the results, there was a total of six in the finals.
