Semi-Finals: Order of Appearance for SMALL Steel Orchestras - Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama 2024

Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The thirty small steel orchestras which qualified for the semi-finals in their category after panyard judging in December 2023, make their next musical moves on Saturday January 6, 2024. The venue for this phase of competition in the 2024 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama–opposite Victoria Square, Park Street in Port-of-Spain–is where pan lovers will gather to cheer on their respective bands and show overall love of the art form.

Supporters of Uptown Fascinators, the reigning champs who are aiming to make it three titles in a row, have the opportunity to rally round their band, when the musicians take the stage in position #28. Expected first on the competitive stage after the 4:00 p.m. scheduled beginning, is Old Tech Steel Orchestra, led musically by arrangers Sean Ramsey & Jonaire Joseph.

These semi-finalists are vying for the officially available twenty fourteen spots on final night, Friday January 12, 2024, at Skinner Park in San Fernando, south Trinidad.  And any ‘tie(s)’ can also determine the actual number making the cut.

Per event organizers Pan Trinbago, at stake for the top three, prize-wise in the finals for this category are: 1st prize - TT $400,000.00; 2nd prize - TT $350,000.00, and; 3rd prize - TT $325,000.00. TT $245,000.00 will be the payout for the 4th- and 5th-placed orchestras; there are of course prizes for the other finalists as well. The final prize purses could also be determined by any potential ‘ties’ within the results.
