Results - Small Steel Orchestra Preliminaries - Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama 2025
Trinidad & Tobago, W.I. - The preliminary phase for the Small steel orchestras featured forty-four bands performing before a panel of judges in respective venues/panyards. This is the first in the three conventional steel orchestra categories of the 2025 Trinidad & Tobago National Panorama.
Participating bands from four regions–North, East, South/Central and Tobago–competed from January 4 through 13, vying for a spot in the upcoming semi-finals. Thirty-one steel orchestras will now perform at the Saturday January 18 competition. Event organizer Pan Trinbago wasted no time in having the results after last night’s final round of prelims, and the subsequent live draw for positions for the weekend play-off.
As is usually the case after ‘panyard judging’ with a large number of steel orchestras, there were multiple two- and three-way ties within the results, starting out with the top position - number one - which went to three competitors, including the defending champion New East Side Dimension. Southern Stars Steel Orchestra and Tobago Pan-Thers also claimed top honors with identical scores of 266; Tobago bands currently occupy three of the four top spots.
Following are the full results for the preliminary phase of 2025 competition for Small conventional steel orchestras.
